Chicago Colleges
Chicago has many colleges that students can attend.
Students can attend any number of general education
colleges, or there are some that focus on technology,
art, and culinary skills. Columbia College is one of the
biggest Media Arts schools in the country. It has been
gaining additional recognition lately due to the success
of its alumni in film and fiction writing. Along similar
lines, the Illinois Art Institute offers courses in
design, fashion, interior design, culinary arts and
animation, to name a few of their creative
disciplines. The Illinois Institute of Technology
excels at more structure based pursuits. They are one of
the leading schools in aeronautical research but offer a
myriad of courses in related engineering and technology
fields.
The different colleges in the Chicago area offer a
variety of degree options. There are specialized
courses, night classes, adult education, as well as 2
and 4-year degree programs. Students can usually find
affordable housing on or near their campuses. In
addition, most of the colleges are accessible by public
transportation. Many colleges work with the city and
offers full time students discounted transportation
passes. The city itself is as big a draw for student as
the courses the colleges offer. The areas surrounding
Chicago's college campuses usually reflect the college
culture. There are many student friendly bars,
restaurants, and entertainment.
Attending a Chicago college is a great opportunity to
grow educationally as well as personally. The city is a
wonderful place to live and has much to offer students.
If you are looking to Chicago as a place you want to
continue your education, attending a Chicago college
might be the right move for you.
